How we work
A private, seamless way to buy and sell exceptional artworks.
Listing a Work
Collectors submit artworks for listing. We conduct due diligence on both the submitter and the works. Once approved, the listing goes live — images, title, and provenance stay private.
Making an Inquiry
Potential buyers can 'inquire' on any listed artwork. Our team vets the user and confirms serious intent. Once confirmed, we share a private viewing link with full images and details — visible only to the inquirer.
Transaction Process
The Art Marketplace acts as the direct buyer and seller for every work. Once an offer is accepted, we purchase the artwork from the seller and resell it to the buyer - handling all contracts, payments, and shipping.
Our Commitment for Every Transaction
Guaranteed Discretion
Privacy comes first. All identifying details remain confidential and are only shared after a qualified buyer has been vetted. The identity of the buyer and seller are never revealed.
End-to-end Logistics
From shipping quotes to final delivery, we coordinate every step with our fine art logistics partners, at preferred rates. Buyers may also request use of their preferred shipper.
Transparent Fees
Our standard commission is 10% of the sale price. Rates may vary based on transaction size and will always be fully transparent.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Sellers submit artworks with a net asking price. During pre-listing review, we evaluate the submitted price against current primary and secondary market data.
If adjustments are needed, we work with the seller to align on a competitive market price. If a consensus isn't reached, the listing will not be published.
All listed prices are inclusive of The Art Marketplace's commission.
While some sellers set firm pricing, buyers can always submit formal counteroffers. Our team coordinates negotiations discreetly to reach mutually agreeable terms.
